WORAN Land Lecture 2026: EDWINA DUNN OBE
We are excited to invite you to the WORAN Land Lecture in celebration of Ada Lovelace Day. This year, we are privileged to host Edwina Dunn OBE as our distinguished Land Lecturer.
Edwina Dunn is co-founder of dunnhumby, the company behind the innovative and far-reaching Tesco Clubcard; cofounder of The Female Lead, a charity aiming to empower women; Chair of the Isaac Newton Institute; Trustee of the Academy for the Mathematical Sciences; and more besides including past roles on many public sector boards or advisory boards including HMRC and the Centre for Data Ethics and Innovation. We are delighted that she will be our guest at WORAN's 2026 Land Lecture, where she will be in conversation with Andrea White, Deputy Director of Operations, Strategy and Transformation at HMRC, with an introduction from Christina Pagel, the ORS's President Elect.
The Land Lecture aims to to inspire, inform and support by making women visible as role models and contributors to science, exploring issues affecting women, and ensuring that women’s voices are heard.
